Moonsama Account Introduction

When you want to logon to the Moonsama bridge you need to access your Moonsama Account.

Before you can access your Moonsama Account it first needs to be created.

The creation and login are explained in the two subsections below.

To Log into or create your Moonsama Account, select “Login” as highlighted below:

The preferred method is to use Kilt login, alternatively you can use Email Login:

💡

Your Moonsama Account is represented by your Email Address. With both methods mentioned above you provide proof that you actually own the Email Address.

The KILT login method provides you with a decentralised mechanism to provide this proof, without being dependent on a third party centralised mail service.

KILT LOGIN method:

To get started with setting up your Moonsama Account using the “KILT LOGIN” method, you need to perform some preliminary one time steps as outlined below.

If you have already performed these steps, skip this section and move on to KILT LOGIN:

Preliminary KILT LOGIN steps

Download the Sporran Wallet:

Setup your Sporran Wallet - KILT Identity:

💡

Back up the seed phrase for your KILT Identity CAREFULLY it is the ONLY way to restore access to this specific KILT address if needed.

Import your Email Address as a credential into your KILT Identity. This is stored only in your Sporran wallet, nowhere else. Detailed steps are found here:

Go to Social KYC:

Connect your Sporran wallet.
Select "Email address":

Fill out an Email Address owned by you, for transparency you could use the Email Address already being used for Moonsama.

Select “Continue in Wallet”

Your Sporran wallet will now pop up, check if all is in order, fill out your password and hit “Request Attestation”

Now you see below message in Social KYC:

Open your Email Address inbox and find the message from SocialKYC:

Select "Confirm email" as shown above, this will take you to the Social KYC screen below:

Select “CONNECT TO WALLET”, now the following screen should pop up:

Do not close the screen shown above until the credential attestation process is finished. Once finished you will see the screen below:

The final step is to back up your credentials to a JSON file, select “SHOW CREDENTIALS IN WALLET” as shown above. Now you see your credential in your Sporran wallet:

Select “Back Up Credential” and save the JSON file.

You can use the Backup to restore your credential. For example in a new Sporran wallet.

There are some additional steps that can be performed with your KILT Identity. Please note, these are currently not mandatory to interact with your Moonsama Account. You can refer here for these additional steps:

Upgrade to an On-Chain DID:

KILT LOGIN

After you have performed steps 1 through 3 as described above (and optionally step 4), you can continue Logging into or setting up your Moonsama Account using the KILT LOGIN method. Select “KILT LOGIN” as shown in the screen below:

This will lead to the following screen:

The message in light blue refers to the preliminary steps that have been discussed in the previous section.

In the screen show above, select “KILT LOGIN”.

If you have already set up your Moonsama Account through the EMAIL method, use the same Email Address here.

Your Sporran wallet will pop up, select the Email Address to represent your Moonsama account and select “Next”:

Be sure to check the box next to the Email Address you wish to share.

Your Sporran wallet will ask to sign with your password. If you agree enter your password and select “Share”:

Now you should see the Email Address you shared shown as your Moonsama Account:

Steps 4 and 5 are only needed to link your Minecraft Account to your Moonsama Account. If you have already done this skip to step 6.

Next, select “Link Minecraft” and login to you Microsoft Minecraft Account.
This will migrate all your Moonsama Assets previously bridged to your Minecraft Account to your Moonsama Account.
That’s it, your Moonsama Account is now ready for use, the screen should now look like this:

Please note: next time you want to login to your Moonsama Account you will need to repeat steps 1-3 as described above.

EMAIL LOGIN method:

To Log into or create your Moonsama Account using the “EMAIL LOGIN” method, select “EMAIL LOGIN” as shown in the screen below:

This will lead to the following screen:

Fill out your Email Address in the highlighted box and select “SEND LOGIN CODE”.

If you have already set up your Moonsama Account through the KILT method, use the same Email Address here.

You will receive a message from this domain “sp.moonsama.com” which contains a login code.

Be sure to check your spam folders.

Enter the code in the confirmation field, after this you are signed in to your Moonsama Account represented by your Email Address.

Steps 4 and 5 are only needed to link your Minecraft Account to your Moonsama Account. If you have already done this skip to step 6.

Next, select “Link Minecraft” and login to you Microsoft Minecraft Account.
This will migrate all your Moonsama Assets previously bridged to your Minecraft Account to your Moonsama Account.
That’s it your Moonsama Account is now ready for use, the screen should now look like this:
