Introduction to Lokito’s Academy
Now that you are fully familiar with all that is Moonsama, you have arrived at another major topic in the Moonsama project.
This lesson will introduce you to the awesome “Lokito’s Academy”.
Lokito is the OG Moonsama Minecraft teacher and a pivotal person with the Moonsama project, in this video you can see him demonstrating his signature “/roundhouse”:
Lokito’s Academy is designed as a self-service educational tool to teach you Minecraft skills over various topics. For each topic there is a specific room in Lokito’s Academy server, some topics are supplemented by supporting video's and tutorials.
Lokito's Academy server is a separate Moonsama Minecraft server, this server has been specifically created to teach YOU Moonsama Minecraft skills.

Lokito’s Academy overview
This section explains the set-up of the Academy and how you can find your way around, if you are lost or unsure how to proceed there are many villagers available who are very helpful, in most cases.
Academy Lobby
When you enter Lokito’s Academy server you will find yourself in the Lobby. From here you can teleport to other Moonsama Minecraft servers such as Townhall and Chaos:
From the Lobby you can walk to the challenge of your choosing, you can go to the original Lokito’s Academy (Big Playa Hall) or you can choose one of the additional challenges. There are multiple challenges available for you to choose from. All the additional challenges can be found in: Thugz Mansion
Navigating Lokito’s Academy
This is the main entrance of Lokito’s Academy (Big Playa Hall), the signs direct you to the different area’s:
When you enter Big Playa hall:
you will be greeted by the director of pimpology, right click him for directions if needed:
The great hall of Lokito’s Academy has 8 stairs:
Each of the stairs will lead you to a different training room, there is a villager in front of each stairs which informs you to which room it leads. Here you can see one of the villagers in front of one of the stairs:
To enter a room walk to the top of the stairs, this will teleport you to the room. This is the enchantment room for instance:
After you have completed a specific area or room you can move to the next one by using this pressure plate mechanism:

As you progress through the various rooms in Lokito's Academy server you will advance from “Filthy Noob” to “Popcorn Playa”.
The next sections in this lesson will provide you with more information for each of the Lokito's Academy topics.
Each section will contain the room description and supporting video's and written tutorials when applicable.
Lokito's Academy - Moonsama Minecraft basics/ Movement and Controls
Here is where you start in the Lokito Academy, it's where you learn the basics that you will need throughout the other rooms and area's, the below topics are covered:

Minecraft settings:
One of the first things you should do is change the Minecraft settings to suit your needs, you can do this by hitting "Escape" while you are in game, this will open up the following screen:
To change your settings click "Options":
The below settings are recommended for playing Moonsama Minecraft:
- FOV - Suggested setting: 80-90
- Video Settings -> GUI Scale - Suggested setting: 3
- Accessibility Settings -> Show Subtitles = "On"
Basic Movement & Controls
Now you are ready to take your first steps in Lokito's Academy, before you start we recommend you have a look at the video below.

Type /offhand into chat box to show a list of offhand items such as the Moonbrella you can then equip the item of your choice.

Inventory Management
The next important step is to get familiar with your inventory, it is where you store your gathered resources and your weapons for instance. It can be very convenient during game play to have a good understanding of this.

- Double left click - fill stack
- Right click - pick up half stack
- Hold left shift & left click - move entire stack in or out of inventory
- Scroll over & press Q - drop one
- Scroll over, hold ctrl & press Q - drop stack Scroll over & 1-9 - fill hotbar to corresponding number
- Holding stack, drag & right click - drop one into slot
- Holding stack, drag & left click - drop equal amounts across slots

General Survival A : Gather wood, crafting table, first tools
The next important step is to teach yourself general survival skills, such as gathering wood, creating and using a crafting table to create your very first tools!
These skills are absolutely indispensable when playing Minecraft.
This video will provide you with important information needed for completing this 2nd room:

The following video demonstrates these specific survival skills:
- Punch a Tree – Collect wood the old fashioned way, with your fists!
- Create a Crafting Table – Open inventory, click on recipe book, convert wood logs into planks, and planks into sticks. (place crafting table to use)
- Craft Wood Pick Axe – Open Crafting table by right clicking on it, craft a Wood Pick Axe.
- Craft Stone Tools – Mine stone with the Wood Pick Axe to collect cobblestone.
- Use cobblestone to craft stone tools.

General Survival B: Food, Bed, Shelter
In this room you are going to take your general survival skills to the next level.
You will be learning skills such as gathering food, creating a bed so you can set respawn points and creating a Shelter!
Absolutely necessary skills if you want to survive longer term in Minecraft.
This tutorial will provide you with important information needed for completing this 3rd room:
- Gather Food – By Killing animals, foraging or farming. (collect 3 sheep's wool, of the same color, to craft a bed)
- Gather Coal – for use as fuel and to craft torches (If you can’t find Coal you can make charcoal by smelting wood logs in your furnace)
- Craft a Furnace – Furnace is used for smelting metal and cooking food. Coal, charcoal, lava buckets, logs, and planks can all be used as fuel (fuel is placed bottom left slot of furnace).
- Cooking Food – Can be done in a furnace or a firepit. Once placed a firepit will stay on indefinitely and can cook 4 pieces of food at a time.
- Bed – A bed will set your respawn point. It is crafted with wool and planks.
- Shelter – Dig into a hill/mountain for an easy first base. Place crafting table, furnace, bed and a chest for storage. Light up the area to stop mobs from spawning, and a door to keep them out.

Mining
You will be able to take on situations that you were not able to previously.
Now that you know how to stay alive, you are going to learn all about mining in this room in Lokito's Academy.
If you know how to mine you will be able to vastly improve your weapons, armour and your situation in general!
This tutorial will provide you with important information needed for completing this 4th room:
- Make iron ingots – mine for iron ore and use a furnace to smelt the iron ore into iron ingots
- Create iron pickaxe – use the crafting table with sticks and iron ingots to create an iron pickaxe
- How to recognise the different ores
- what you can create with your mined ores

PvE (Player versus Environment) - Hostile Mobs
Before you continue with this 5th room we want to inform you about the Moonsama specific items and buffs, this is required knowledge for you to be able to make correct decisions when equipping appropriate weapons, items and armour (which you now know how to create) for specific missions. For instance when preparing to engage "Hostile Mobs".

Moonsama specific Minecraft items:
- Moonsama Helmet:
- Provides armor equal to diamond
- Fire Resistance (immunity to fire and lava damage)
- Is unbreakable
- Moonsama Egg – Offhand item:
- Provides Haste (increased speed of weapons and tools)
- Moonbrella – Offhand item:
- Provides Slow Falling (hold right click)
- Runestone:
- Teleports you to your home spawn area (Hold right click for about 4 seconds)
Every MoonsamaNFT or Multiverse Art Skin that has been bridged provides the holder with in-game benefits:
- 5 % health points added
- 2.5 % damage points added
- NEON moonsama's are equal to 10 MoonsamaNFT's
The number of bridged MoonsamaNFT's or Multiverse Art Skins is indicated by the color of the player name:
- gold -> 1-4 bridged MoonsamaNFT's or Multiverse Art Skins
- blue -> 5-9 bridged MoonsamaNFT's or Multiverse Art Skins
- purple -> 10-19 bridged MoonsamaNFT's or Multiverse Art Skins

The 5th room in Lokito's Academy
Now that you have passed all previous rooms and you know about Moonsama items and buffs you are going to engage Hostile mobs in the 5th room in Lokito's Academy, you enter the room here:

Advanced A - Enchantments
This 6th room in Lokito's Academy is going to help you get started as a bonafide Moonsama Minecraft magician!
Enchantments allow you to vastly improve your weapons, armour and your situation in general by casting spells! Once more you will be able to take on situations that you were not able to previously.
This tutorial will provide you with important information needed for completing this 6th room:
- Before you can enchant an item you need the following:
- Experience Orbs
- Crafted items:
- Bookshelves - 15 for maximum enchanting power
- An enchantment table
- Anvil (Optional)
- Mined resources:
- lapis lazuli
- Items to enchant
- In this 6th room you will find all of the above waiting for you, but keep in mind when you are on your own you need to arrange for this yourself.
- In this room you are going to enchant the following types of items:
- Tools
- Armour
- Weapons
- Books
- Enchanted books can be used to add certain enchantments to other items that are already enchanted

Advanced B - Potion Brewing
Now that you are an expert at enchanting items, Lokito's Academy is going to help you take the next step on your road to becoming a bonafide Moonsama Minecraft magician!
Potions allow you to give yourself or others special abilities such as water breathing, healing, night vision, invisibility and many many more!
To give you an idea of the possibilities with potions, here is an overview:

- Before you can brew a potion you need the following:
- Crafted items:
- Glass bottles
- Water

- Secondary ingredients such as puffer fish
- Amplifier ingredients such as Redstone dust

PvP Basics
After practicing all of your skills in the previous rooms it’s time to start working on your basic PvP skills in Lokito’s Academy.
PvP sills are needed for fighting other players and to fight hostile mobs. Here you will learn about:

After you have improved your skills in all of the previous rooms in Lokito's Academy server, you are ready for the 9th and final room.
